Francesco Chisso

Graduated in Industrial Chemistry in 1993 at the University Ca' Foscari of Venice. His graduation thesis investigated the synthesis of new polyketones (thermoplastic polymers) and it was carried out at the Research Centre of Enichem Polimeri. From 1995 to 1996 he employed at General Membrane S.p.A. (waterproofing membrane), his work concerned mainly the company quality assurance and the technical agreement certifications of the products. From 1996 to 2000 he worked at Nord Resine S.r.l. (chemical products for building industry), in which he was Chemical Laboratory Manager and he carried out activities targeted to new products developments and quality assurance. From 2000 to 2002 he worked at Breton S.p.A., world leader in the field of technology for manufacturing and processing compound stone. During this period, he gained R&D experiences in polymer-stone composites, ceramics, chemistry of the formulations and materials science. At present he is Product Manager at MBN Nanomaterialia S.p.A, his work consisting in the development of industrial applications of nanomaterials, mainly focused on nanostructured powders for sintering and thermal spray technology. He was MBN representative in european research project: Tribo (Nanostructured coatings for engineering tribological applications) and Nanospraying (Thermal spraying of nanophased powders).

Role for NADIA
He is in charge of the relations with the task leader, partners and the coordinator. He is also involved in the technical development of the new nanostructured powders for thermal spray technology and in preparing documents and technical reports.
